United Digestive’s vision is to become the preeminent provider of independent provider based gastroenterology services in the country.
United Digestive provides a strong operational infrastructure for gastroenterology practices, including regulatory assistance, managed care resources and robust administrative support services that can be leveraged across a significantly larger geographic footprint. United Digestive anticipates continued expansion through both near-term de novo growth as well as through strategic partnerships. By aligning with United Digestive, independent practices will be able to leverage operational best practices while allowing providers to retain clinical independence and a continued emphasis on high quality patient care.

The terms of the transaction, which closed on December 14, 2018, were not disclosed. Edge Healthcare Partners originated the transaction and served as the exclusive financial advisor to AGA.
